Banana Nut Porridge







1 1/2 cups Almond or Coconut Milk

1/2 cup Gluten Free Oats, Quinoa or Buckwheat Flakes

1 ripe Banana

1/4 – 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (dependant on taste)

1 tsp natural Vanilla or Almond Extract (optional)

1 tbsp Almond or Cashew Butter


1. Gently start to heat the milk in a pan.  After a few minutes add the oats/quinoa/buckwheat and leave it to simmer very gently

2. Mash the banana, add the cinnamon (and vanilla/almond extract if using), and stir well

3. Add the banana mixture to the pan, and simmer for a few more minutes, stirring regularly, until nice and thickened

4. Once the porridge is ready, remove from the heat & add in the spoonful of nut butter and stir well to combine

5. Pour into a bowl, and serve with toppings of your choice i.e. a drizzle of coconut nectar or maple syrup, chopped nuts, fresh berries etc
